The U.S. Immigration Task Force, under the advisement of the USA National Board Christian Action Committee has endorsed the World Relief Statement in Support of Comprehensive Immigration Reform. The Task Force is an adhoc group formed to study ways in which we, as a denomination, could respond to the crisis in pending immigration legislation.
World Relief, as an extension of the National Association of Evangelicals, works with, for, and from the Church to relieve human suffering, poverty, and hunger worldwide in the name of Jesus Christ.
With the current debate on U.S. immigration policy, World Relief is actively advocating for comprehensive immigration reform at the federal level, cooperating with other faith-based agencies, and working to engage the Evangelical community. Comprehensive immigration reform is advocated for as a non-partisan issue, in which evangelical Christians are being called to engage based upon Scripture and our moral values.
