The Tom Nees Social Justice Award at Nazarene Theological Seminary recognizes the Church’s commitment to its calling of serving among the poor in ministries of compassion and justice. To be considered for this award, NTS students are encouraged to submit a 15- to 20-page paper relating historical, biblical, theological, and social-cultural themes of social justice. Selection is made by a committee appointed by the NTS President. This committee reads all submitted essays and selects the winning paper.
