This is a series of 11 short “ministry-mercials” that highlight compassionate, multicultural, and urban ministry, and the missional church. They can be used in worship or small group settings. A theme for the series is, “What will I do with the life I’m given?”
Compassionate Ministry
- Segment One – To be the church is to be in service to social needs. (4 minutes, 16 seconds)
- Segment Two – To be the church is to be sensitive to the needy in their community. (3 minutes, 48 seconds)
- Segment Three – To be the church is to get involved in changing lives of those in need. (4 minutes, 3 seconds)
Multicultural Ministry
- Segment One – Asks viewers to consider building an inclusive, multicultural church. (2 minutes, 49 seconds)
- Segment Two – Reminds viewers how the all the nations of the world have found a home in the United States, thus producing a vital mission field. (4 minutes, 39 seconds)

Urban Ministry
- Segment One - Asks churches to consider the plight of those in the cities and to adopt a burden for them as part of the Great Commission. (3 minutes, 45 seconds)
- Segment Two – Being missional means the church cannot neglect and abandon the cities, but must be involved in the needs of those in the urban core. (2 minutes, 1 second)
- Segment Three – The city has a special place in God’s heart. Likewise, Christians need to develop a special love to reach the city with the Good News. (1 minutes, 55 seconds)
Missional
